Great Wall of China

The Great Wall of China stretches along the northern edge of the country and is probably the most famous symbol of China. It's one of the biggest construction projects ever done.

The wall is actually made up of many sections, built over two thousand years across northern China and southern Mongolia. The most complete and well-preserved parts of the wall are from the Ming dynasty (1368-1644).
